Another riser from the youth ranks at the Abbey Stadium, all-action midfielder Ben Worman is currently on a contract with the U’s until the end of the 2022/23 season...
The youngest ever player to take part in a competitive Cambridge United fixture, Ben enjoyed several appearances around the first-team during 2017 and 2018 – leading the line in EFL Trophy clashes.
Although he found opportunities limited over the following years, handy loan spells at Bishop’s Stortford, St Neots Town and Weymouth paved the way for a breakthrough season in 2021/22 – there, he made 18 starts and scored twice, including a world-class volley away at Morecambe.
