After being released from boyhood club Sheffield United in 2015, the striker enjoyed prolific spells in Non-League with Nuneaton Town and Kidderminster Harriers, earning him the move to Moss Rose.
The Yorkshireman has thrived with the U’s from the get go – plummeting 29 goals in his opening two seasons whilst executing the hold-up role impeccably. Joe made national headlines in January 2022 when his goal knocked Newcastle United out of the Emirates FA Cup on their own turf.
