United's FA Cup third round tie is not at all certain to go ahead on Saturday 11th December.

Assistant secretary Mark Johnson informed me today that because there is a major demo planned in Cambridge on that date the Police would be stretched to deal with the FA Cup tie against first division Crystal Palace, which is sure to attract a larger than normal crowd.

The options of playing on Friday night or Sunday afternoon are under discussion and a decision will be made after a meeting with the Police on Wednesday.

The Auto Windscreens Shield match against Barnet will definitely take place on Tuesday 7th December and ticket prices will be announced shortly.
