Sunday 11th June 2000 : Ball in Mustoe's court as McFarland takes break |
|
There is unlikely to be any movement on the transfer front for the next couple of weeks as Roy McFarland will be away on holiday. Unlike some football managers he will not be in the Low Countries watching the action at Euro 2000 as the prices of players there are likely to be a bit too rich for Cambridge United! Instead, he indicated earlier this year that he would be holidaying in Spain. In the meantime Club Secretary Andrew Pincher advises that Neil Mustoe is thinking over his latest contract offer from the club. His current deal expires at the end of the month and there are rumours that Rotherham are interested in the former Manchester United midfielder. |
