Exeter's Express and Echo reports that Exeter City boss Noel Blake is chasing the signature of United's released goalkeeper Arjan Van Heusden.

27-year-old Van Heusden joined Cambridge United on a free transfer in July 1998 and was the club's undisputed number one for most of the promotion season, although he missed the middle and end of the season with two fractures to his hand.

Last season he had to be on top form as the team struggled with the step up to Division Two, and he saved several certain goals and was voted U's Net Player of the Month for September before another hand injury in October ruled him out for several games. On his return to fitness it became clear that he would not displace young Shaun Marshall as Roy McFarland's first choice keeper and he requested a transfer in December.

His contract expires at the end of this month and he is available to join another club on a free transfer.
