Friday 2nd June 2000 : United miss out on keeper |
|
The official Oxford United web site has revealed today that Cambridge United were one of the clubs to miss out on signing their new goalkeeper Richard Knight. Knight was released by Derby County at the end of the season and held talks with several clubs, including Swindon Town, Port Vale, Plymouth Argyle and Cardiff City as well as Cambridge United, but opted to join Oxford after spending three months there on loan last season. The U's are seeking a new goalkeeper to replace the departing Arjan Van Heusden and Knight is just one of many players who will speak to Roy McFarland this summer. |
