Wednesday 23rd February 2000 : Match reactions, and a let off for Millwall!

Roy McFarland has already confirmed one team change for Saturday's visit of Millwall, revealing that last night's goal hero and inspiration John Taylor will not be included.

"He's had a great game, but his legs won't let him play another straight off. We've bounced back from the Blackpool match with a very good all round performance though. It's given us a chance again to get out of trouble, and we have to take it.

"I made changes, not so much dropping people, as rotating the squad a bit. I think that's something we need to look at, especially when we get two hard games in a week. We looked a bit leg-weary against Blackpool, and I accept the responsibilty for not making a change or two for that match."

After watching his side fail to take the chance of boosting their slim play-off hopes, Bury player-manager Andy Preece echoed the words of many other Division Two managers this season:

"Cambridge won't go down if they carry on playing like that," he said. "They were a handful."
