| Wednesday 23rd February 2000 : Match reactions, and a let off for Millwall! |
|
Roy McFarland has already confirmed one team change for Saturday's visit of Millwall, revealing that last night's goal hero and inspiration John Taylor will not be included.
"He's had a great game, but his legs won't let him play another straight off. We've bounced back from the Blackpool match with a very good all round performance though. It's given us a chance again to get out of trouble, and we have to take it. "I made changes, not so much dropping people, as rotating the squad a bit. I think that's something we need to look at, especially when we get two hard games in a week. We looked a bit leg-weary against Blackpool, and I accept the responsibilty for not making a change or two for that match." After watching his side fail to take the chance of boosting their slim play-off hopes, Bury player-manager Andy Preece echoed the words of many other Division Two managers this season: "Cambridge won't go down if they carry on playing like that," he said. "They were a handful." |
