| Monday 14th February 2000 : Exclusive: Ken Steggles treatment room update |
|
Ken looks forward to answering supporters' questions so if you have any please drop me a line.
Jason Kavanagh: "He came through training well this morning and if there is no reaction then he will probably travel tomorrow." Neil Mustoe: "He trained this morning and had a slight aggravation to his thigh injury. We''ll see what he's like tomorrow and if he's OK he will travel." Alex Russell: Although Ken gave a full and detailed update on Friday about Alex's operation, he added today, "To give you an idea of what they did, it was like stitching together two wet tissues! It is very delicate and not very strong at all, so we're leaving well alone to start the natural healing process. He's gone home to his parents for a week's complete rest, and I spoke to him this morning and he is in really good spirits." Andy Duncan (whose rehabilitation from a broken leg was interrupted by an operation to remove a spur of bone from his heel two weeks ago): "We've started stretching his Achilles. I'm going with him to see the ortho on Wednesday and we're hoping to get the all clear to start his rehabilitation again. Andy's OK, he's moaning, which with Andy is a good sign." |
