Former Youth Development Officer Paul Ashworth has returned to Cambridge United to assist the youth development team, initially until the end of the season.

Ashworth was Ricky Martin's predecessor at the Abbey before leaving to take up a similar post at Peterborough United in 1996, where he was promoted to first team coach this season. However he was dismissed late last year and is currently in dispute with 'Boro, so he is lending his expertise to the U's following the departure of Centre of Excellence director Mike Cook to Cheltenham Town.
