Newcastle United defender Stuart Elliott has signed for AFC Bournemouth on a month's loan with a view to a permanent move to Dean Court.

A 22-year-old left-back, Elliott is frustrated with his lack of first team opportunities at St James Park and will make his debut for the Cherries at the Abbey on Saturday. He had loan spells at Gillingham, Hartlepool and Wrexham last season.
