Thursday 6th April 2000 : Physio's injuries update |
|
Club physio Ken Steggles gave me another update today about the injury list, and after a couple of frantic weeks it was all good news. Tom Youngs (calf injury) and Shaun Marshall (thigh) both trained today and barring setbacks will be available for selection for Saturday's important game against high-flying Bristol Rovers. Paul Wanless and Scott Eustace both suffered dead legs against Bury on Tuesday night (Wanless both legs) but after treating them today Ken reported, "They should both be fit for Saturday." Meanwhile the two longer-term casualties are edging closer to fitness. Alex Russell, who had an operation on his troublesome thigh injury, is at the National Rehabilitation Centre at Lilleshall this week for one to one attention from a therapist, while Andy Duncan, who broke his leg in October, is due to visit Lilleshall for similar treatment next week. |
