Travelling Supporters Information (by car)

After 17 miles the road divides, with the main carriageway becoming the M11 and the A14 bearing off to the left. Stay on the A14 (s/p Cambridge A1307, Newmarket, Felixstowe A14). After 0.6 miles, bear left again where the road divides (s/p Newmarket, Felixstowe A14). The A14 (formerly A45) becomes the Cambridge northern bypass. After 4.1 miles exit the A14 (s/p Cambridge B1047). At T-junction turn right (s/p Fen Ditton, Cambridge Airport) through Fen Ditton Village. After 1.4 miles turn right at T-junction (s/p Cambridge) and straight over roundabout by the Racehorse pub (s/p Ring Road) onto Newmarket Road. The ground is about 500 yards on the left hand side.
From West (A428) : Continue on the A428 which becomes the Cambridge northern bypass. Then as From North.
From South : Exit M11 at junction 11 (sign-posted Cambridge South A1309, Harston A10). At roundabout turn right (s/p Cambridge A1309). After 1.5 miles (after passing The Green Man Beefeater/pub on right hand side) turn right (s/p Ring Road, Cherry Hinton) into Long Road. After 1.1 miles, straight on at lights (s/p Ring Road) into Queen Edith's Way. Follow Ring Road sign for 2.8 miles, over five roundabouts and passing Cambridge Airport on the right hand side. At roundabout by Racehorse pub, turn left (s/p Ring Road) into Newmarket Road and the ground is about 500 yards on the left hand side.
From A1307 (Colchester) : Stay on A1307, passing 'City of Cambridge' sign on LHS. At roundabout (by Addenbrookes Hospital) after 0.8 miles, take third exit (s/p Cherry Hinton, Chesterton). At roundabout after 0.2 miles follow Ring Road sign, then as From South.
From East : Exit A14 onto the A1303 (s/p Cambridge A1303, Burwell B1102) At roundabout turn left (s/p Cambridge A1303). Straight on for 2.4 miles to roundabout by Racehorse pub, then as From North.

On foot from the Railway Station (approx 2 miles)

Walk away from the station (Station Road) and take the first road on the right, (Tenison Road). Take the first road again on the right, (Devonshire Road), follow this round to the left, up to the next junction. Turn right - again - onto Mill Road. Walk over the railway bridge, then take the third road on the left, (Sedgewick Street). Follow this road, pass a set of traffic calming barriers, and shops (at this point you are in Cromwell Road) to a T-junction, (Coldham's Lane). Ahead of you should be a large field (Coldham's Common). Go into this field and follow a path under a railway bridge to the away turnstiles.

By Bus

If you arrive by rail there are buses from the station into the town centre every eight minutes, where you can catch a bus to the ground. Alternatively, if you prefer to walk to the buses, walk straight out of the station and take the first right. The buses for Ditton Walk go past the ground in Newmarket Road are 3 and 3A. These run past the ground after the games when they end in the afternoon (i.e. 4:45 pm). But you will need bus no.93 after an evening game.

Abbey Stadium Plan

Grateful thanks to Andrew Pincher of CUFC for his help in preparing this page, and also supporters Johnny Curtis and Chris Mason. The road directions are reproduced from the excellent "The Football Fans' Guide" by Janet Williams and Mark Johnson (published by Collins Willow and highly recommended) and credit is due to them for this information.
